The
National Cholesterol Education Program (NCEP), coordinated by
the National Heart, Lung, and
Blood Institute (NHLBI), has a pamphlet called Step by Step:
Eating to Lower Your High Blood Cholesterol. This pamphlet gives details
on how to change your eating habits in order to lower your blood
cholesterol levels. The NCEP also has booklets for children with high
blood cholesterol levels and their parents. In addition, the NHLBI has a
booklet, Exercise and Your Heart, and a resource list of agencies and
organizations able to answer questions on cholesterol and the other risk
